Last year proudly marked GCA’s 21st year as agents for FLSmidth Knelson Concentrators, where the association began in 1997 with many successful installations of Knelson concentrators in Africa. GCA has also been instrumental in most of the more than 300 Large scale Knelson Concentrator installations on the African Continent.
GCA’s mission is to remain African market leaders in gravity recovery solutions and provide enhanced technological advancements in equipment, process and mineral recovery solutions to the African mining industry.
GCA has been the African agents for Knelson Concentrators for 21 years, the Consep Acacia Reactor for more than 15 years, and has recently added new products to complement their technology range. Filtaworx, a range of fully automated, self-cleaning industrial water filters has been one of the new products, providing advanced technology in particulate filtration. The filters have a number of useful applications, in multiple industries, and are particularly helpful in African areas that have poor quality water. GCA has provided the Filtaworx filters to clean plant process water, fluidization water cleaning for the Knelson concentrators, and for gland service water.
The easily replaceable screens range from 50 to 800 microns, and the extensive range of filters can handle between 25 and 900 cubic meters of water per hour in a single unit.
“As the leaders in Gravity concentration, GCA aims to provide the latest technology to their clients to optimize their process, improve their equipment operation and to provide sustainable low maintenance solutions” says GCA Managing Director, Martin Meyer.
In recent years GCA focused on customer excellence and managed to assist clients to improve their process, minimize their downtime, and increase their recoveries. One of our recent successes was to assist one of our clients to improve their Gravity Recoverable Gold from 9-10% in 2016 to an average of 20% in recent months.
GCA prides itself on customer satisfaction, and our staff is driven by our customers’ success. GCA operates a registered Knelson test facility and will conduct or manage mineral testwork on behalf of clients in order to better consult on concentration technology requirements.,
GCA’s spares department efficiently handles enquiries from throughout the African continent, and our support personnel travel from Guinea to Cape Town, all over Africa (GCA) to ensure that our satisfied customers remain as happy as they were on the day when they first commissioned our equipment, to provide continual support and provide improvement solutions to optimize their processes.
