GCA is proud to announce that we recently became the official African distributor and agent for Filtaworx®. Manufactured in Australia, Filtaworx is a comprehensive range of extremely high quality, self-cleaning, fully automated filters.
Amongst the many applications and uses of these filters across multiple industries, they make an invaluable addition to any mine or industrial plant with poor quality raw or process water. They are efficient, robust and require minimal maintenance, in addition to being extremely versatile – with a wide range of filter sizes and nominal flow capabilities. Given that many mine sites in Africa struggle with water quality (something of vital importance to gold and/or gravity circuits), GCA is very excited to be the official agent for mining and industrial applications across the continent.
The Filtaworx range is particularly useful in improving the quality of fluidisation water for FLSmidth Knelson Concentrators, the best gravity concentrators available on earth and GCA’s number one selling product. By improving the water quality, mineral operations can ensure that their Knelson Concentrators not only operate at higher recovery levels and increased efficiency, but that they can also run for extended periods between cone cleaning intervals.
Other applications where Filtaworx filters have been successfully applied and installed include: River and dam intake water for whole plant protection, spray nozzle, pump gland seals, heat exchangers protection, cooling towers, truck wash systems, mine de-watering, effluent recycling, and many more.
Filtaworx filtration units are also known for their build quality when compared to competitor products. Their stainless steel bodies allow them to withstand even the most corrosive mining environments, the automated self-cleaning backflush system ensures durability as well as maximum efficiency, and the stainless steel mesh screens offer the best quality filtration possible. Furthermore, these well designed units allow for simple plug-and-play on site, as they can be mounted in any position or orientation and require minimal space and no external power (when using the hydraulic controlled filter).
Such a well engineered and designed product will not only make a valuable addition to GCA’s product range, but will allow us to offer our clients unique solutions for poor water quality issues, thus achieving maximum efficiency and profitability. We at GCA look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Filtaworx, and thank them for allowing GCA to represent their products and interests throughout Africa.
